1. About the Japanese concept of"wrapping".
I agree. Japanese like wrapping. I always feel it when I'm working. I'm working at a drug store. At my store, the company tried to reduce the resources. So if a customer don't need a bag when she buy something, she get one point on her point card. Therefore, I ask customers whether they need a bag or not. Although most of people say that they don't need it and they put them in their bag or their own shopping bag nowadays, others say that they want me to wrap them. They are even angry and irritated at me like "stop asking me the stupid question" or something. They have huge bag though. In bottom of their action, there's the Japanese concept of wrapping.
2. a. Where do you go when you die?
I think when our body died, our spirit came out of our body. And the spirits wander around our world until it's reborn the new one. But there is no consciousness. I mean my mind will be gone away when I die but, the spirit will remain in this world. I think that there is neither heaven nor Hell.
b. Explain why do Japanese have death memorial services 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc. after a person's death?
Because it's a custom. But, of course it isn't the only reason. In my opinion, it's a good opportunity to remember about the deceased person and also think our life again. So we do the death memorial service.

I agree with your opinion about question 1. I was hard to say that I don't need a shopping bag for me. So I think the act of your working place is good idea. If I don't need a shopping bag, I want to say "I don't need it."
I agree with you, Japanese is too wrapping when they buy something. they should use more own shopping bag or recycle bag, don't you think?
